The fine print

The Aurora University Investment Club ("AUIC," "the club," "we") is a registered student organization at Aurora University. Everything on this site, and everything presented at our meetings, events, and on our social channels, is published for educational purposes only.

Nothing we publish is investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice. Nothing we publish is an offer to sell, a solicitation of an offer to buy, or a recommendation regarding any security, strategy, or account. No member of the club is a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, and no one in the club acts in that capacity.

Before making any financial decision, consult a licensed professional who knows your circumstances. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions and for any gains or losses that result from them.

Any portfolio, holding, allocation, return, or performance figure we display exists to show members how decisions are researched, debated, and reviewed. It is not a fund, it is not open to outside contributions, and the club does not solicit, accept, pool, hold, or manage money on behalf of members, students, or any other person.

Past performance does not indicate or guarantee future results. Figures may be delayed, incomplete, unaudited, or inaccurate. Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal.

AUIC is a student organization operating under Aurora University's student involvement framework. This website is produced and maintained by club members and is not an official publication of Aurora University.

Opinions, analysis, and statements on this site are those of the club and its individual members and do not represent the positions, policies, or endorsements of Aurora University, its trustees, administration, faculty, or staff.

Guest speakers appear in a personal capacity and share their own views. Their participation does not constitute an endorsement of AUIC by their employer, nor an endorsement of any speaker, firm, product, or service by AUIC.

Company names, logos, and trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. If you are a speaker, or represent a firm named here, and would like a name, photo, title, or affiliation corrected or removed, email us and we will act on it promptly.

We link to outside services such as Investor.gov, Investopedia, Khan Academy, SEC EDGAR, Finviz, FRED, MarketWatch, Google Forms, Google Drive, Telegram, and Simply Wall St. We do not control these services, are not affiliated with them, and receive no compensation for linking to them.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or data practices of any third-party site. Once you leave auinvestmentclub.com, that service's own terms and privacy policy govern your use of it.

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or rent any information to anyone.

Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify individual visitors.

This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers when a page loads. Google's handling of that request is governed by its own privacy policy.

We collect information only when you choose to give it to us: the membership form, the attendance form, the contact form, and the anonymous feedback form (all hosted on Google Forms), plus any email you send us. We use that information to run the club — attendance, announcements, event planning, and replying to you. We share it only with club officers and our faculty advisor. To see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, email aconsorte01@aurora.edu.

We photograph and record our meetings, speaker sessions, and field trips, and we post selected images and clips here and on our social accounts to show what the club does.

If you appear in a photo or video and would prefer not to, email aconsorte01@aurora.edu with enough detail to identify it and we will remove it. You do not need to give a reason. You can also tell any board member at an event that you would rather not be photographed, and we will respect it.

We try to keep meeting times, locations, event details, and schedules current, but they change. Details on this site may be out of date, and we make no warranty as to accuracy or completeness. Check our Telegram group or email us if something matters.

Original text, design, and photography on this site belong to the Aurora University Investment Club. Please ask before reusing it. If you believe something here infringes your copyright, email us and we will review and remove it if warranted.

We want this site usable by everyone. If you hit a barrier — something unreadable, unnavigable by keyboard, or broken with a screen reader — email aconsorte01@aurora.edu and tell us what happened. We will fix it, and if you need the information in another format in the meantime we will send it to you directly.
